Nino Meladze
Founding Board Member 2016

Nino was a Founding Board Member of Georgian Center. She resigned in 2016 to focus on her professional career in early childhood education field. Nino established the first Georgian language school for Georgian-American children in greater DC area in 2010, where she taught Georgian language, literacy, history, and culture.
Her expertise in education comes from Georgia where she worked as director of a Child Development Center supervising more than 500 children and 100 teaching and support staff. After moving to the United States, Nino led research activities in the field of early childhood development for the Child Trends, School Readiness Consulting, AppleTree Institute and worked as Early Learning at United Planning Organization.

She was member and a co-author of the UNICEF-sponsored ELDS (Early Learning and Development Standards) project and author of Guidelines on Administration for Preschool Directors. Nino holds the Master’s degree in Psychology
